La Palma
Located in the north-westernmost of Gran Canaria, La Palma is known as "Pretty Isle" because of its outstanding scenery. La Palma is also known for its amazing mountain ranges that attract foreigners from different lands. The highest peak of La Palma is the Roque de los Muchachos that stands 2,246 meters above the sea level. The island itself is a volcano, has numerous cones and dykes that provides a big difference among other beaches in terms of floral gardens.

The island is full of captivating landscapes dominated by the Caldera in the north. However, the southwest part has been eroded and was sunken leaving a deep gorge that goes down to the sea of Tazacorte. Magnificent central ridges dominate the central and southern parts which divides the island into two.

La Palma provides a long mountain trails for hiking. Mountaineering is also popular in their mountain ranges. It provides refreshing air to urban people. It is also a place with great adventure because of unexpected creatures and views that comes on the way. Considering that La Palma is only 50km long, and around 25km across, it invites tourist for a 3 days full exploration of the area which is quite a good deal for holiday treat. For those who are fond of hiking, several routes are offered which will provide a dramatic view to your eye sights.

La Gomera
On the other hand, La Gomera, a beautiful forested island is a rich in landscape and fauna. Its highest peak located at the center of the island is known as Alto de Garajonary that stands 1,487 meters above the sea level. However, beaches are not appreciated on this island since the coastlines are rugged and are full of cliffs. The island is quite preserved than any other island around it. It is not only rich with land creatures but aerial creatures as well. The mostly spoken language is Spanish. However, there are also hotels that accommodate English speaking individuals.

Since the island is internally mountainous and is separated by hills and ranges, communication is quite a problem of this preserved island. For this purpose, "Silbo Gomero" a whistle language is a well developed means of communication to send information from one mountain to the other.
Since the shorelines are mostly cliffs, there are only a few beaches that offer best activities. And the best beach in the island is The Playa de Santiago with it's albeit sand and pebbles. The beach is also best for snorkeling since it offers brightly colored fishes from its sparkling waters.

Since the island is in open waters with big waves, San Sebastian and Valle Gran Rey beaches offers a good site for surfers. These sites are very well popular among the surfers of the area. They provide a new experience of surfing.
La Gomera also invites hikers of various levels because the island offers adventurous routes. Outstanding walking guides and information are also available to provide a comprehensive guide to their hikers. Another irresistible activity that the island promotes is mountain biking.
